What makes me
Even at school I couldn’t stand injustice and as class representative I stood up for my classmates and for more justice. During my studies, I worked as a student representative for others. As the press officer of the ÖH Innsbruck, I was able to design the student newspaper and entertain all the students. The highlight of my work as a student representative was organizing a concert against right-wing extremism at Innsbruck’s Landhausplatz with three bands, for which I only had one week. Although no one I told about my idea believed it was possible, the square in the country house was full. The singer of the most successful of the three bands was with our organization that he offered me to organize his concerts in the future and to manage him.
I like to get involved with other people. My … In the meantime, I am a parent representative in my son’s high school class and am involved …
It is very easy for me to stand up for others and to support them. Through my experience…to better anticipate and solutions
I have been working as a lawyer in Spain and Austria since 2003. I graduated in Spanish Law from the Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelona. Even before I became a lawyer in Spain, colleagues asked me for advice on their real estate matters in Spain. It became clear to me that I can explain the peculiarities of Spanish law particularly well to foreign investors because of my perspective from outside. Since then I have regularly advised buyers and sellers of Spanish properties.
Not working exclusively in Spain was a conscious decision of mine, as I wanted to maintain a critical outside perspective to be able to improve local practices and habits and bring an international dimension. This and my perseverance allowed me to improve some practices and adapt them to the needs of foreign investors.
What fascinates me about working as a lawyer is that I can provide my clients with the necessary knowledge so that they can consciously make the right decisions and thus assert their legitimate interests. Having been involved in numerous real estate transactions over the years, I have found that in the vast majority of cases, real estate sales are not managed well because no one feels responsible for the entire transaction, from start to finish. Realtors would actually be the ones who could do this job. However, real estate agencies have the problem that they get their order from the seller and want to push through the deal because that’s the only way they get their money. With this goal in mind, it may become impossible to consistently represent the interests of the contracting parties. In practice, it is the buyers who suffer most from this situation.
For these reasons, I have decided to no longer only offer legal services as a lawyer, but also to handle the entire real estate transaction, either for the buyer or for the seller, because this is the only way their respective interests can be protected. In addition, I support foreign investors who have financed the purchase of their property(s) with a loan from a Spanish bank and have been victims of unfair contract terms that Spanish courts have declared null and void. Faced with this injustice, I offer my services for the entire legal enforcement process, from beginning to end.
